Curbside Garbage Pickup

• Curbside Garbage Pickup is Monday Mornings
• Residents Must purchase yellow Village garbage bags
• Bags may be purchased for $2.50 each at the Melrose Express or at the Village Hall
• Garbage must be placed on the curbside by 7:00 AM

Curbside Recycling Pickup

• Curbside Recycling Pickup will occur every other Thursday morning.  See the exact dates of pickup on the Calendar tab of this website.
• All items must be placed on the curbside by 7:00 AM.
• All recycling items must be sorted and prepared in the following manner:
  • Group 1:  All empty containers (glass, tin, plastic etc).
  • Group 2:  All fiber products (paper, cardboard, newspapers etc).
• Please DO NOT put recyclables in plastic bags **

Burning in the Village is Unlawful

• The burning of household garbage, furniture, mattresses, or any type of non-cooking fire is unlawful and in violation of Village Ordinances. Violations will result in a fine.
• Additional items are accepted (some for a charge) at the Recycling Center.

Spring and Fall Cleanup

• Dates are designated in the Spring and Fall as Cleanup Days.  On these dates, you may arrange for large item pickup such as mattresses, televisions, appliances, etc.
• A small fee for each item is required for pickup.  Payment must be made in advance.
• Contact the Village Clerk/Treasurer to arrange pickup and pay for your items.
